Code of Conduct

Introduction

Effect Days is dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees, regardless of their background, identity, or experience. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for behavior and helps us ensure that Effect Days remains an event where everyone feels welcome, respected, and valued.

1. Respect for all attendees

• Treat all attendees, speakers, organizers, and staff with respect and consideration, regardless of their background, identity, or affiliation.
• Harassment or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic, including offensive comments, unwelcome advances, or disruptive behavior, will not be tolerated.
• If you experience or witness harassment, please report it immediately to the event organizers in the venue or reach out via email to Mirela Prifti at mirela.prifti@effectful.co.

2. Inclusive and welcoming environment

• Promote an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere where diverse perspectives and experiences are valued and respected.
• Encourage open and constructive discussions.

3. Collaboration and learning

• Encourage open and constructive discussions during sessions, workshops, and networking events.
• Foster an environment where everyone can learn, share, and grow.

4. Privacy and consent

• Always respect others' privacy and personal space.
• Seek explicit consent before taking photos, recording, or sharing personal information.

5. Compliance with venue rules

• Follow all rules and policies set by the conference venue.
• Comply with any instructions from event staff and security personnel.

6. Professionalism

• Maintain professionalism and an open mind in all interactions, both formal and informal.
• Responsible sharing: Use your influence and knowledge responsibly, avoiding the dissemination of misleading information.
• Report any concerns or incidents to conference organizers promptly.

7. Reporting violations

• If you believe the code of conduct has been violated or have concerns about your safety, please get in touch with the event staff immediately.
• We take all reports seriously and will respond promptly and appropriately.

8. Consequences

• Violations of this code of conduct may result in removal from the conference without a refund, as determined by event organizers.
• Repeat offenders may be prohibited from attending future Effect Days Conferences.

9. Supportive community

• Our community is committed to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. We encourage attendees to help each other and reach out if someone needs assistance.
• Celebrate the diversity of backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences that our attendees bring. Embrace the opportunity to learn from each other.
• Make an effort to include everyone in conversations, activities, and networking opportunities. Small acts of inclusion can go a long way.

10. Code of conduct changes

• The event organisers may update or revise this code of conduct as necessary. Attendees are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the latest version.
